Content Curation on Social Demands More Than a Shared Link

I think you can call this a meta post? I am curating an article about curated content.

Curating content is not just about pasting a link. It means saying something about the article to add value to the reader. It’s like going to a live networking event and quoting someone else. If you merely quote the person but don’t have an opinion on it, why would anyone listen to you?

Curating content is a great way to share more content and put yourself in the middle of conversations. But, if you only share links, it is actually worse for you than doing nothing at all. Sharing a post without an opinion is just noise to your connections. They quickly swipe past it and move to posts that have real conversations.

Consider a shared post a conversation starter. You still need to personally show up, have an opinion, ask questions and engage readers.
