Social Media Screenings Gain in Popularity

What’s on your social media?

According to recent research, 70% of employers use social media to screen candidates during the hiring process, and about 43% of employers use social media to check on current employees.

This research was from 2018 and 2019, so you know it’s only increased since then!

But…this is a 2-way street

During this time of the great resignation, employees are now in the driver’s seat and are also checking out the social media of potential employers!

The bottom line…whether you are an employee or an employer, personal profiles matter now more than ever!

Today your personal brand is your business card.

In fact, you no longer need a business card, I have not used one in a couple of years!

Now, when I meet people online OR in person, I IMMEDIATELY connect with them online.

Now they can communicate with me instantly and likewise…in addition we can also see each other personal and business profiles.

So, if I thought my personal brand / my profiles were poor I would not be comfortable with doing that.

How comfortable are you with your personal profiles and brand?

How comfortable are you with your organization’s profiles?

If you don’t know, time to align yourself with the digital world!
